Old medicines can be disposed of at any time during normal pharmacy hours.  Simply take them to one of the two participating drug stores in Peru and they will dispose of your old medicines in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.  They will give you back your pill bottle when empty.

This program is for human medicines only and is not for business use

Controlled substances NOT accepted.

The participating pharmacies are:

  • Kroger's Pharmacy
    930 West Main Street
    Peru - 765-473-2076
  • CVS Pharmacy

    Peru - 765-472-4367

The Solid Waste District will accept outdated and unwanted over the counter medications at their location at 2651 West Logansport Road during regular business hours.

By following the rules of the programs, you help to keep the yearly recycling fee low. When rules are ignored, it costs the Solid Waste District more money to continue the programs, and will result in having to raise the fee to continue to cover the costs related to our recycling programs.
