Old and Outdated Medicine Disposal
Old medicines can be disposed of at any time during normal pharmacy hours. Simply take them to one of
the two participating drug stores in Peru and they will dispose of your
old medicines in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
They will give you back your pill bottle when empty.
This program is for human medicines only and is not for business use
Controlled substances NOT accepted.

The Solid Waste District will accept outdated and unwanted over the counter medications at their location at 2651 West Logansport Road during regular business hours.
By following the rules of the programs, you help to keep the yearly recycling
fee low. When rules are ignored, it costs the Solid Waste District more money to
continue the programs, and will result in having to raise the fee to continue to
cover the costs related to our recycling programs.
